This is a unique opportunity to own an actual relic of a P-40E-1-CU Warhawk that was acquired directly from the source and has NEVER been in collectors’ circulation.
This 8” x 10” (20 x 25 cm) historical plaque combines this rare artifact, along with the story of the piece, and a beautifully detailed illustration created by artist Craig Tinder.
Transferred to the British as a Kittyhawk 1a serial no. 41-35918, this P-40 was supplied to Russia's 19th Guards Regiment. The aircraft was recovered in 1992 and upon restoration, now flies in the markings of AVG Ace "Tex" Hill's P-40E Warhawk, 41-5658 "108". This aircraft is now fully restored in flying condition with the Military Aviation Museum - Virginia Beach, Virginia.
